Ruegin Alixander...

I created Ruegin ever since I played the mobile game 'Toram Online', a mmorpg fantasy experience. (like I said in my last post.. if you read it)

I'm going to tell you about her, and show you her evolution as I drew her. I love this character, and I like to think that she is how I would be if I were in a fantasy world.
(There a lot of I's there...😑)

Anyway! Let's begin.

Meet Ruegin Alixander:

Ruegin is a young Migorian Elf that was born in a small village that I can't remember the name of, which is why I didn't mention it in my 'Welcome to my world' post. Ehhh.....

Anywho, she was raised in a big family of five sisters. Her mother and Father both have a large history of adventures and fighting in wars together, but decided to settle down together. Only, Ruegin's father (Matias Alixander) still worked for the Sofian city guard, and they regularly called him in for jobs. But, he would always come home, and with a story for his six daughters.
All his daughters listened to his stories every night he came home, but only one loved them: this one was Ruegin, his second youngest.

As a little girl she would wait for her fathers return to hear about his incredible adventures. If only she knew about his life's adventures too. Ruegin wasn't like most of her sisters, she wanted to see the world and become an adventurer like her father, so she could help people, and fight monsters, though going out there had a bit more to it that she knew.

One day, she ran off from the farm and went into the forest near their house. She'd constantly ditch her farm chores to explore the forest for anything, and would constantly find herself in trouble. But like I said, one day like any other day, she went into the forest, and found a giant dragon crystal, but it was dying.

(Dragon crystal's are giant boulders filled with minerals that Dragons tend to collect in their nests as a sort of magical container that they can use to protect their homes and young. They infuse their magic within them, then later on Wizards and witches tend to look for them to rid the rocks of their magic to use it as their own.)

Ruegin then runs back to her sisters and gets them to follow her to see it. But when they got there a Migole (a goblin like monster, very big, but are afraid of magic) sniffed them out, seeing them Thiala the oldest sister quickly led her sisters into the dragon crystal to hide. Thankfully, the dying magic of the crystal scared the Migole and it left them alone.
Although, since the sisters were inside it, the dying magic infused into them, so when they got out they were glowing a deep green. Once the green vanished, they shrugged it off hoping it meant nothing.

Few days later, Matias came home and told another one of his amazing stories. But, an arrow buried itself into the side of their house with a message calling him back early. Leaving once more, Ruegin runs out to stop him, and he reassures her that is was a quick mission, and that he would be back before she realized he was gone.

Only, he never returned.

Everyday, Ruegin would wait, sitting in her favorite tree and looking out over the road that lead far from the village, but Matias never again walked across that rocky road. From then on, she hated the Sofian guard for taking away her father.

Few months later, Ruegin snuck into an old shed that her father would always say she was forbidden to enter, and found his weapons, maps, and souvenirs. After looking through them, she found his favorite sword, and most treasured weapon: The Iron Great sword that was called the Irond Sword. There are only four others like it, with the ability to fuse magic into it giving it more power when used.

Now this sword was twice her size, and almost a hundred times her weight, but she picked it up with ease. This was because of the dragon crystal's magic that fused with her, giving her inhuman, or inelf strength. Later, she goes to Matia's friend Valri who trained him, and asked her to train her. Seeing Ruegin holding the sword freaked out, but agreed to train her, also gave her a stick for now.

As she grows older she grew more fierce and becomes very talented with the Irond sword.
Older, she is strong, fast, agile, and smart. She has compassion, and is courageous, but sometimes her pride gets in the way: The Alixander pride passed down by her father.

Monsters around the valley were becoming more dangerous, and started raiding the village. Unfortunately, as much as Ruegin wanted to see the world, her family and villagers safety was too important to her to leave. But, her dream did come to her when she finds her fathers old notebook filled with his writing about the creatures all over the world, like a sort of hobby in his spare time, or on his way home. But, it was never finished. This, and all over Senera there were strange incidents involving creatures out of their habitats and acting unusual and far more hostile.
Something was happening, something big and bad, so she decided it was her time to leave and see if she could help with whatever was happening. Also, so she could finish her father's notes as like a tribute to him in his honor.

She finally heads off on her beginning journey. On the way, she meets many other adventurers, and finally reaches Sofian City where a few things go down.
Later, she gets in a bit of a cafuffle with some of the guards because she refused to give up her sword. An older man heard the fuss and went over, this man ended up recognizing her last name and introduced himself as Kalin, an old partner of Matias's.

She then meets a young Sofian witch named Yuuki, and an archer named Gia. Together, they help Ruegin finish up the notebook, finding creatures and studying them and trying to avoid getting killed in the process. Though, through their adventures they start learning who is hurting the world: An evil sorceress named Verrica Shadows, a woman bent on distruction because of something from her past who is draining the worlds magic, and turning it to darkness...

So that's Ruegin for ya, and her story. This ended up being a lot longer than I had previously thought, so I'll stretch my drawing out to another post.

I love telling you guys this stuff, it's exhilarating!

Ba bye!
